A True Friend: Is Always There for You Essay
The story begun when I came to this school in Form 1. I have no friends and Iââ¬â¢m afraid with new surrounding. I checked my name on the board. I was into class 1 inisiatif. When I got into the class, everyone stared at me. I donââ¬â¢t know whats going on. So I just take a seat and keep calmed. A few months later, I had to move to class 1 cendekia. I have my old friends there. But sheââ¬â¢s not my closest friend. Everyone does not care about me. Nobody want to ask me anything. Maybe Iââ¬â¢m too shy to meet and greet them. The time has changed, when there was a girl, who has just moved back to school from boarding school seated infront of me. That girl was so pretty, skinny and gorgeous to me. I was wondering if she will be my friend one day. Suddenly, she asked me, ââ¬Å" can I borrow your correction tape?â⬠and I said ââ¬Å"sureâ⬠. I got into mad situation when she used the correction tape onto the table. Since then, I had a negative thinking about her. Mayb e Iââ¬â¢m too childish. She knows that Iââ¬â¢m mad to her. But she doesnââ¬â¢t care at all. Since then i know her name is Nur Daniella. The time had passed, when we were in form 2. All the students in form 1 still same class with me. I have many good friends right now. End of school holidays, Daniella and i suddenly get into this friendship. I donââ¬â¢t know how and i donââ¬â¢t care. Now i totally forgive and forget about the ââ¬Ëcorrection tapeââ¬â¢ thing. We shopping together to buy new things for next shoolyear. Most of the things we had buy, there are all same. Our bottles same colour, our shoes, pencilbox, watch and many more. We like it that way. When we were in form 3, our friends ask me and her why we buy same thing, colour and design. Maybe they felt too weird because Daniella and i was not a really good friend before and maybe theyââ¬â¢re too jealousy because i treat Daniella all those thing. I ask her how she get used in those kind of situation. She said ââ¬Å" just ignored what they saidâ⬠. Since that day, we came back from school together. Even iââ¬â¢m not pretty and clever as well like her, she doesnââ¬â¢t care at all because she knows the true meaning of friendship. Friendship is not about the beautiness and cleverness thing. Now sheââ¬â¢s the best thing that ever been mine. Every secret and stories, she will share with me. So do i. Iââ¬â¢m afraid of losing her one day. But we have one and only promise that we made. We want to further our studies in united kingdom. We pray to god, so we can get excellent result and further our studies there. Every sadness, happiness, our love story we share together until now. In a day, we must call each other and we hang for about one hour for just gossiping. No one can break our friendship ties. She asked me to read her blogs that she made just for me. I had cried all the way i read those thing. Now i realise, she ââ¬â¢s my only one bestfriend. She understand me so much. When iââ¬â¢m hurt but iââ¬â¢m tried to avoid from showing that iââ¬â¢m hurt, she knows deep in my heart, i was hurt. She would ask me if iââ¬â¢m okay. No one noticed me when iââ¬â¢m hurt except her. I feel so grateful for having this kind of bestfriend. I had lived since 16 years ago and this is the true friend that iââ¬â¢ve waiting for. When someone tries to be her friend or start chatting with her, iââ¬â¢m jealous. As i said before, i just afraid of losing her in my life. many of my friends had betrayed me. It makes me feel there is no such a good friend in this world until this girl came into my life. I am so grateful for having her in my life. I hope one day our dream comes true. She had taught me how to grow up and be cool in life. She had taught me the true meaning of friendship. Now i realise the value of a true friend.

Comparative Afterlife Beliefs Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Comparative Afterlife Beliefs - Essay Example The Egyptians, likewise, have more intricate beliefs of the afterlife, as shown from the documentary video entitled ââ¬Å"Egyptian Secrets of the Afterlifeâ⬠posted by Yuna Raven on January 18, 2012 and shown in YouTube (Raven). The current essay hereby aims to provide a comparative analysis of these two distinct beliefs of the afterlife. There are disparities in the Sikhs and Egyptians beliefs in the afterlife in terms of focus, scope, and details. For Sikhs, it was specifically indicated that ââ¬Å"Sikh scriptures dont dwell on what happens after deathâ⬠(Burke par. 2). This is very contrary to the Egyptianââ¬â¢s beliefs of the afterlife that is most intricate, detailed, and comprehensive. As indicated from the video, due to their focus and relegating importance to the after death, the idea of immortality and afterlife enabled them to create great architectural structures which detailed guidelines for the dead pharaohs to be resurrected and reborn to their own bodies (Raven). Likewise, the Sikhsââ¬â¢ regard for conformity and compliance with earthly duties, much more than focusing on the afterlife, was manifested in terms of their practice for cremation (Burke par. 1). In contrast, the Egyptians believe that the deadââ¬â¢s soul would eventually get to be reunited with their physical bodies; as such, their belief in mummification (Raven). It was disclosed that it was important that their physical bodies be preserved so that their spiritual souls would recognize it and enable the resurrection (Raven).

There shouldnââ¬â¢t be discrimination among the people because of any law. The state is neither allowed to restrict people to have autonomy, liberty or property nor are they to be denied the protection of the law. The fifteenth amendment main emphasize was on human rights. It claimed that any citizen will not be denied to vote because of their race, color or religion. It also claimed that Congress has the authority to subject this article by adequate legislation. Furthermore, the right to abolish slavery and give the citizens the equal right to protection was put forward and passed in later years. Moreover, after opposing from people, this amendment banned franchise restriction or race color and religion too. Reaction to these amendments was not very pleasing. Supply chain modelling Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3000 words
Supply chain modelling - Essay Example Supply chain business process integration is more or less related to collaborative ventures that businesses engage themselves in when dealing with buyers, suppliers, joint products development, common systems and shared information (Net Coach, 2012). Indeed, modern reviewers actually argue that the success behind the implementation of any supply chain management is focused on the integration of these processes and that supply chain management cannot be successful without effective supply chain business process integration. Once such integration is undertaken, the benefits and advantages that come the way of businesses is that business operation and management becomes well coordinated and harnessed (quote). The case study used is indeed part of an extended supply chain system as the company involved, Argos was faced with the need to dealing with sustainable growth in sales, quantitative number of sales channels, as well as the growth in choice for the customer (Vanderland Industries, 2009 p. 1). Indeed, supply chain system accounts greatly in the determination of reaching the customer with the demands he makes and thus the desired sustainable growth in sales and number of sales channels. The company was also faced with the challenge of increasing competitiveness on the market because from the strategic focus of the company, an ability to increase the number of sales channels and subsequently increase the number of sales would be a strong indication of the competitiveness of the company on the market. If for nothing at all, increase in sales would represent an increase market share (quote). To overcome the identified challenge, a solution rooted in the principles of supply chain system and supply chain business process integration was instituted. The major deliverable involved in the solution was to have an automated

Nature of British Colonialism Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Nature of British Colonialism - Essay Example So the course of the different British colonies is diverse.1 Generally, the overall quality of colonial administration improved at the beginning of the nineteenth century, when the Colonial Office prospered under effective leadership who created distinct departments, recruited and hired experts in colonial management, and worked with true humanitarian intentions to create policy that recognized the human worth of the colonists. According to historian Harold J. Schultz, the leaders of the Office, "under the influence of the humanitarian and Evangelical movement, produced a colonial policy favoring missionary expansion and racial equality."2 At the end of the nineteenth century, a wave of imperialist expansion swept over European nations. Fostered by nationalism, militarism, and the Industrial Revolution, Britain and its neighbors determined the best chance for real expansion was overseas. They began what is often termed a "scramble" for colonies, which may have been just as messy a process as the word implies. Britain began to feel threatened by the other nations' expansion. It worried about its sources of raw materials, its markets, and its ability to conduct free trade.3 This fear affected its attitudes about colonies and its policies. In Canada, colonial policy was influenced by friction between groups such as French and English, and Catholic and Protestant. In the north, early colonists were angered by the influx of new settlers and worried that local government might come under their control. In the south, the elected Assembly feuded with the upper house, which was seen as the governor's cronies. There was actually a rebellion in 1837, which showed the British government how serious the Canada situation was. Britain sent Lord Durham to Canada to assess the situation and make recommendations.4 Lord Durham's assessment concluded there were "two basic problems in Canada: 'two races warring in the bosom of a single nation,' and representative government without political responsibility for its actions."5 He created a plan to unite Upper and Lower Canada to reduce racial differences, and offered ideas to reform the government to make it more honest and effective. His recommendation was to allow governors to select their ministers from members with a majority in the Assembly.6 In this way, the legislature would have a power check on the executive branch. Durham's plan was quite fair and reasonable. It showed that creating responsible government for at least some colonies was Britain's goal. It suggested that the "colony-mother country" relationship would be one of voluntary association, and not coercion. Britain had been paying attention in the years after the American Revolution, and now had a different view of that relationship.7 India All colonial policy is influenced by economics, but that seems to be especially the case with India. After the Seven Years' War, the East India Company grew in power "from a trading post to a private imperial empire."8 The company abused its power in India, governing without accountability. Corrupt officials made huge fortunes collecting taxes and pocketing them. Corruption became widespread enough to draw the interest of the House of Commons. Lord North reduced the company's power but still left it with control. Over

HUM310_LQ3 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
HUM310_LQ3 - Essay Example At the beginning of the sixteenth century, music saw a number of significant changes with rising of polyphonic music and music printing in France, Germany, and England among others. Renaissance artists and philosophers were religious like those of the middle ages and their aim was to reconcile theological practice with the spirit of philosophy called Humanism. With the protestant reformation by Martin Luther through his inquiries against the teachings of the Catholic Church which resulted to the founding of the Lutheran denomination, this had a tremendous impact on Renaissance music posing a religious rebellion. This was a reform process which gave rise to new churches and new types of sacred music, the turmoil in the church scene made a path for secular music to rival its sacred counterpart through word painting, polyphonic imitation and music printing ((Derrick, 1983). Renaissance is reflected musically through improved expression and more personal compositional styles which make it sound sweeter than medieval music. The sound of words does not make them unholy or holy and as such sounds can not describe a song as secular or holy. Whether music is sacred or secular has no basis in Scripture and this in a way has led to use of the same motives and this profane the word of God. For instance Luthers music was just as scandalous, consider for instance his lyric "A Mighty Fortress", this was set in a beer-drinking tune. Many gospel writers have hijacked popular music some of which are too romantic. This has changed the church way of singing, kind of songs and not to any better. With todays technology you can program any beat or rhythm because its just numbers and it would be ridiculous to say that for some numbers would be holy than others. Human body is made in a way the feeling of rhythm while from inside the heart beats in rhythm and outside the uni verse pulsates and moves in rhythm. Actually to not
